I'm a little far,

but I wouldn't mind having one of the little guys. Can he be put outside? I could keep him with my silkies for now, till I get my other houses completed. I have been trying to get a group of D'Uccle chickens started. I have a couple of Mille fleur eggs in the incubator now. I have never seen a porcelain one. The are beautiful! I might have to get 2 coops going, one for mille fleur and now for porcelains.

So if you don't have anyone else wanting him (closer to you) I'll work something out with you and give him a home. (we don't eat our babies either) Roos happen to be my favorite. If they wouldn't fight and be so loud, I would have nothing but roos!

Wonderful! I am more than happy to drive him to you, or meet somewhere along the way. I am just outside of Lincoln City which is about a two hour drive to Portland. My husband and I drive to Portland all the time for various reasons (family, shopping, fun) and don't mind the drive at all. I would be so happy to see both of these boys get into good homes that I would drive them just about anywhere.
big_smile.png
So I will consider them on hold....one for you and one for ZooMummzy....and hope it works out. You will love them. They are both super good looking boys, and very sweet and easy to handle. They seem to sincerely enjoy petting and sleeping up under your chin.
smile.png
And, yes, they can live outside or inside. They will grow up to be small bantams that would make nice house chickens, but they are also well feathered and happy to live outdoors. However you like. They just want to live with someone who will admire their beautiful feathers and rooster stances...
big_smile.png
. These two are very striking....can you tell I am in love with them?
smile.png
I would keep them myself if I could, but I have decided to keep the one mille fleur roo from this batch. I'm just so happy they will move to good homes with great new chicken mom.

auntpa-k and ZooMummzy....just let me know when you want your boys and I will work out the details with you.

I thought I'd show you the two girls one of your little boys will have
smile.png
They are much prettier now...their colors are coming in very nicely! Any idea what a porcelain and mille fleur produces? lol

Oh those are lovely girls! I know he will love them.

The Porcelain is a mille fleur with the lavender gene. If you breed them together the babies will come out looking mille fleur but carrying the lavender gene. If you then breed the female babies back to the lavender rooster (or to one another, or other porcelains) the babies can come out porcelain. At least that is the way I understand it.
smile.png
The porcelain are mille fleur patterned lightened by the lavender gene. Either way the babies would all be lovely. I love this breed.

Very cool! With Seramas, I really don't have to worry about breeding this color to that color so I have no clue how it all works but I see some experimenting in my future
big_smile.png
And yes, other than my Seramas and my Cochins, I love this breed a lot.

Thank you! They were kind of sketchy for awhile but then I learned from Cloverleaf that as they mature and age, their pattern becomes much nicer. These are from her Mille rooster who used to belong to Tsagirl. I've been very pleased with them.

Okay, I most definitely ant at least one cheesecake. I have it narrowed down to ten choices but how will I ever choose?! They just all sound fantastic! I do not suppose you could be persuaded to do a sampler style cheesecake that included a slice of several different flavors? I'd get two! Maybe more... Anything to make the choices easier! I want to try them ALL but I need to stay within a smallish budget since the gas to get to the swap is gonna be expensive as is. Man... this is the hardest decision I have had to make in a long time....

So here are the ones I can't choose between. Someone help me! And by help I most certainly do not mean tell me to get one of each. I am on a diet and a budget!!!!
Honey (sugar free)
Brownie w/brownie crust
Sweet Potato w/graham cracker crust
Chocolate Mint w/chocolate graham cracker crust
Vanilla Bean w/graham cracker crust
Summer Marionberry w/graham cracker crust
Butterscotch Caramel w/graham cracker crust
Pumpkin Marble w/ginger snap crust
German Chocolate w/chocolate graham cracker crust
Peppermint Bark w/chocolate graham cracker crust

I hate to say this because I LOVE making crazy fun flavors but seriously..... VB is the way to go ESPECIALLY if you're only going to get one. It's classic for a reason! Just my opinion.

Tamra, you simply need to make your list and work your way down it. Start at the top and come to each swap and get a cheesecake at each swap.

At 2 swaps per year, it will only take you 5 years to work your way down your list.
