Oregon Fall Poultry Swap - October 22 - Corvallis @ the Fairgrounds!!!

Tam'ra of Rainbow Vortex :

Okay, I most definitely ant at least one cheesecake. I have it narrowed down to ten choices but how will I ever choose?! They just all sound fantastic! I do not suppose you could be persuaded to do a sampler style cheesecake that included a slice of several different flavors? I'd get two! Maybe more... Anything to make the choices easier! I want to try them ALL but I need to stay within a smallish budget since the gas to get to the swap is gonna be expensive as is. Man... this is the hardest decision I have had to make in a long time....

So here are the ones I can't choose between. Someone help me! And by help I most certainly do not mean tell me to get one of each. I am on a diet and a budget!!!!
Honey (sugar free)
Brownie w/brownie crust
Sweet Potato w/graham cracker crust
Chocolate Mint w/chocolate graham cracker crust
Vanilla Bean w/graham cracker crust
Summer Marionberry w/graham cracker crust
Butterscotch Caramel w/graham cracker crust
Pumpkin Marble w/ginger snap crust
German Chocolate w/chocolate graham cracker crust
Peppermint Bark w/chocolate graham cracker crust

Tam'ra, it's funny that you should mention a sampler type cheesecake. I've had a couple other people in the local area mention something like that so I have been mulling it over. I need a bit more to figure out how I would do it but I might just try it so you can hold off on making your decision lol. I need to get through the next few weeks of personal things but then I will start toying the idea more. I think it would involve making all the cheesecakes, freezing, cutting and then storing them till Fall, which is definitely doable. John had his in the freezer from the Fall swap last year till the spring swap this year and it was fine.

I will get back to you!

Hey, we're boring today.

I guess I will report that #5 hatched last night. I helped a little because she pipped on the wrong end. I hate that. She was so pretzeled in that egg I didn't think she'd ever figure how to get out. I was worried about orthopedic issues but she's perfectly fine. Whew.

I took a quick look at the eggs I got from you on Friday and ALL of them are developing nicely.

Not a clear one in the dozen. Keep your fingers crossed...I want to be overrun with faverolles.

Can't wait to get some of the blue bantams! The other favs eggs are salmon bantams. Worked out great.

I watched chicken TV last night. I let everyone out on the freshly mown grass. They were bad girls, I had to work very hard to keep them out of tha garden! These pics are for Laura and Clover:

Krista and her gang got busted for eating my lettuce. She's mad at me.
I can't ever get a pic of Peanut. She's too fast.

Two sizes of favs. This is the newst LF I got from you and the bantam chick from the swap. Disregard the buff brahma with the incorrect comb. (Want to use her for a cochin project?)

cbreeze, I am updating the want/have list and I saw your post for OEGBs. I have a local guy who I know who raises them. He is planning on coming to the swap but I will get in touch with him again and let him know that you are looking for hens. That will probably prompt him to really come

He is always calling me to buy OEGB hatching eggs from him but I'm not wanting that breed right now. I have several hens now and had roosters - sweetest little birds.
