The cut off date (I'm going to be very strict about this date this time) is October 1st. I will not accept any preorders after that date but rest assured I will bring at least 1 extra of every kind to the swap.

I will hatch out chicks of a breed of your choice. I'll try first to find local hatching eggs, but might ship them in if I can't find a breeder to meet me at one of the shows here in the Northwest. Will raise them at least a month before swap, but I have to know way ahead of time to make the connections. I only like to buy show quality/breeder quality eggs, and I prefer hatching American and heritage English birds, but wouldn't mind doing a few other breeds. Please no silkies! Prices will vary - cost of the eggs, age of the chicks by the swap, etc. I do keep track of all my expenses including electric for incubating and brooding, so I know what my bottom line is per day, varying a small amount with feed efficiency of the chicks.

Okay - new idea. I've been making kaleidoscope images out of photos and ironing them on tshirts. I can bring some generic ones to the swap, but I realize I could also try to make custom tshirts (or canvas bags, or just the printed iron-on for you to iron-on) if people wanted them. Some photos make much better kaleidoscopes, so if you gave me a selection, I could show you the results and you could pick the one you wanted made up. Something like that.

I can also do square, Celtic cross and flower petal shapes, not just round... will try to post a sample of that soon.

My best advice as to what a "typical swap is like" is to go to the website and check out all the tabs and photos. Bring, well, as you can see from the huge list, anything goes! It's a very exciting day, fun and filled with good people, food, birds and lots and lots of great things to buy and swap. This one is shaping up to be our largest so far...we hope trend continues
