The swap yesterday was very crowded, but there were lots of nice people there and very cool things and animals for sale there. Came away with some creamed honey, cheesecake, and an Easter Egger pullet. My only regret was that I was in a hurry to leave once I got the pullet - definitely looking forward to next spring!

Full supporter of breast cancer awareness. I lost my Mother 3 years ago next month to breast cancer. It was her 3rd bout with it so it is something that touches me deeply. I am approaching the date of her death and it is never easy.

Oh! Those would be from my cochins! They will be super sweet birds. They were hatched here from my bantam pen, and while a few were all cochin, the Sultan ended up being the surprise Dad to a couple because I noticed extra toes. If yours don't have extra toes, and the feet are more yellow, then they are cochin. The third, probably noticeable larger one, is descended from the rescued rooster. Enjoy them!

They are super sweet. I brought them in tonight, since they are still a little short on the feathers. I named them Romeo and Juliet (one really looks rooish, and they have yellow feet and no extra toes) I also brought the big black girl in to help keep them warm, and her name is Black Beauty. Looking forward to watching them grow up

Wow, the hens I got from Chickened (Ed) and Moodlymoo (Jennifer) are doing great! Of the 3 mille fleur cochin hens from Moodlymoo, 2 presented me with beautiful eggs this morning. And the Ameraucana hen from Chickened laid a GIANT blue/green egg for me today! All are doing great, settling in nicely to life on the dry side of the mountains!
