Welcome!!! We are glad to have you here

Did you find the latest "have/want" list? If not, let me know and I'll go see what page it is on. Cloverleaf updates it about every 5-10 pages I think she said but it will probably update more often now since the swap is getting closer (can you all believe it!!!!!!)

In case you didn't know from the posts, this will be our 4th swap (3rd one of this size). We move it up and down the valley to try and accommodate as many members as we can. In the Fall, probably Sept or Oct (lol we'll start planning it the week after this one I'm sure) will be in my area - Albany/Corvallis. Next spring it will be back down south around Eugene/Cottage Grove.

Here is the link to the swap brochure in case you missed the post a couple back https://docs.google.com/document/d/13qsZjDGHhk8Zt5eezphY84lv8sE4aF2Aa6Tr9isvGZg/edit?authkey=CNXOsLkE&hl=en&pli=1#

I'm
looking forward to meeting you!!!

LOL my house too! I have tried to keep it fair for everyone in the house so all the roosters live in the living room. The kid's rooms are downstairs and my room is upstairs. My husband swears he doesn't hear them (this is a good thing!) but I do every morning. I kinda like it

Oh, and a P.S. -- no matter what ZooMummzy says about "dust", I didn't find any! I was in awe of the neat, bright set-up, rows of orderly cages with calm happy birds... she's definitely someone with chicken experience!!

I will be happy (but sad at the same time) when the swap comes and I can get a little bit more organized. I hope your girls are doing ok this morning?

Oh, and I'm enjoying some orange marmalade this morning

I have been so tired of winter temps and weather. Maybe now the sun will shine more often .

Hi all,
We are new to the forum and it has been a number of years since I had chickens. My husband is on a steep learning curve including building the coop. Unfortunately, We now live in the city limits of Corvallis and can only have hens. We are looking for a white silkie pullet and I am wondering if anyone attending the poultry swap has one that they are willing to part with. We know that they are hard to sex so we may have to buy 2 just to get a pullet.

We are also looking for Marans and Welsummers for their dark colored eggs (I use to do egging and want to get back into it). We would also want to pick up a Barred Rock and maybe a Wyandotte.

We want to start all the chicks at the same time so the silkie will not be at a disadvantage in the pecking order.
