Sooooo....does that mean you have Lavender?!?! I have two huge weaknesses in my life (well other then family and pets lol) that is Lavender and Cheescake!!! I got cheesecake covered by my lovely friend Zoomummzy, could it be true that there is someone I have an in with in the Lavender business!?!?! Let me know, if you make things with it, have plants anything!!! I would especially love plants that naturally seed and spread, what they sell in stores now is a hybrid kind that does not have fertile seeds or anything! Lemme know!

Yes, I'm definitely interested in all varieties. Maybe a dozen total? I want to put them in my rock garden bed and refill a big washtub I had full of them till last summer.

Daze, I would love that! Thank you. They told me they cannot find it anywhere and I just really find that unbelievable but what can I do? I am making a lavender and honey cheesecake to sell at the swap and it calls for culinary lavender. I guess this one will be without but if I could get some for future ones, that would be awesome. A plant would be even better if they have that sort of thing for sale?

Adorable. I hope a couple of them can make it on Sunday to the meeting. I think the girls especially will go nuts over them! I let all of the MFCs out together today. Of course I stood on hawk watch. They are tasty morsels and we have a bad hawk problem. Anyway they had a great day out in the sun on the grass. I put the boys with the girls and they were so rude! The boys get out almost everyday in the yard, rain or shine but not usually with the ladies. They are usually very sweet but today with those girls they acted like fools. The girls finally had enough and ganged up on them and put them in their place!

I am sure I can bring a couple of mine for everyone to look at, I am thinking I wont have my cages ready to pick up the others yet to show you, but I can bring a couple of the ones in the pics!

Zoomummzy~ It is funny, but the one thing I don't like is lavender cooked into things! I don't know why, I love the smells but dont like the flavors, well except once when I was in Maui and went to the lavender farm and they had lavender scones, they were sooooo good! Other then that, no offense, its just not my thing! I just LOVE the smell though!

No offense taken at all

I'm kind of the opposite...I like the smell but not as much as I like the taste.

We have 110 chicks going into the second week of incubation, should be just a few days old before the swap. We will try to bring a few of each breed we have to the swap, hope they all sell!

We also have 30 chicks brooding now, some are less than a week old now and others are I think going on three weeks this weekend. All are doing really good. We might bring some of those as well, lots of EEs in that group. I'll have to check with Rhonda and see what all we are bringing.

Unfortunately the BBS Orps had pretty low fertility this go-around, so we'll be setting another bunch but they won't be hatched before the swap.

Would love to find someone interested in dual purpose meat cockerels! I love eating these birds but just don't have enough room for all the cockerels we have and will be getting from this hatch! I promise you'll love how much easier these guys are and how much less they eat than the CXs.
