Oregon Spring Poultry Swap April 23, 2011 in Canby!!!

I have 4 pots of "Sweet Pea Currant Tomatoes" that I will bring to the Swap if anyone is interested in them. There are 2 plants in each 6 inch pot. They are cardinal-red, pea sized tomatoes that grow on a sprawling plant perfect for hanging baskets. Last year was the first time we raised these and they were wonderful. We had 1 basket right outside the kitchen door, very handy to pick a handful to toss in a salad.

Also, have 1 Narrangasett hen laying if anyone is interested in her eggs, I'll save her eggs for the next week. Let me know

WOW party at your house hey so that means a few bottles of wine later you might have some new cheesecake flavors right

oh Laura. That was a real LOL for me! I'm kind of there too! Decided it would be a good idea to do a full sized sheet cake for someone last minute.

They are doing good. All my NY hatch are in the coop with the big kids now. I have five juvenile roosters that I'm butchering this weekend (1) cuz they were picking on the NY babies and (2) they think they are hot stuff and picking on the big girls.

Celiandy- Can you make a chicken diaper for a BCM roo? I am teaching a poultry class at the local Grange and I would love to bring a showboat to wow the crowd! hehe.

I have just the bird! Daze sold me a BCM roo a while back who she raised with a bunch of babies and he is very friendly. He would be the perfect demo roo for a class, with a little protection, of course.

Also, if you have any chicks or extra diapers available May 2nd, I can offer them at the poultry seminar. I am going to bring what I have and make a donation to the Grange from whatever sells.
