Oregon Spring Poultry Swap April 23, 2011 in Canby!!!

ZooMummzy - Please put me down for a pair or trio of your Seramas. I've fallen in love with the little guys.

Please put me on the list for...

10 - hatchery quality Delaware hens about a year old - really good layers
12 - Delaware x White Rhode Island - 2 pullets at 12 weeks and 10 straight run at 7 weeks - spectacular layers - hatchery secret for making Red Sexlinks
7 - Blue Egg Easter Egger hens & pullets (various colors) - 1 is 15 months, 3 are closing in on 5 months and 3 are 7 weeks
2 - 7 week old Blue English Marans culls - pretty birds but don't make my cut - probably pullets
1 - 7 week old Welsummer pullet cull - too small for my liking
1 - 6 month old White Rhode Island rooster (not a true Rhode Island White because it has a straight comb instead of a pea comb)
1 - nearly 2 year old Blue Wheaten Ameraucana rooster - SQ until he got pecked in the eye, very gentle and runs the Easter Egger flock

More older Marans and Welsummer culls to come as I get them sorted.

Incubators are sold, commercial brooders still available. Waters and feeders will become available as more birds leave.

You got it!

I will be posting photos in flickr (I'll post the link here) when they all feather out so you can see what you like

I have 19 more hatching in February and probably just as many if not more in March. I am getting eggs from 3 different breeders the first week of February. They have smooth, silkied and frizzled

Lensters, put me down for one or two of the blue egg EE pullets, the 7 weekers if you're sure they're female, if not then the 5 month ones. Gotta call and reserve my U-Haul now.

Lensters,
I would like your 3-5 mo old EEs if K7 Menagerie doesn't get them. Also, do you raise blue splash marans?
Thanks!

Blue Egg laying EEs are popular as always.

The seven week old EEs are a little young to guess the sex on yet.

I did forget to mention that I'm trying to sell everything before tax time so I can't actually take reservations for the swap. However, come swap time I'll go through the request list (I keep a spreadsheet) and first request, gets first pick of what I have. If you absolutely have to have something, then showing up on my doorstep is the way to go.

Tsagirl...another of Sally's babies for you

This one is a much lighter blue color and we might have some slight frizzling going on. I'm going to have to wait till morning when she complete dries. My Serama chicks are taking care of her now - cleaning her, keeping her warm, showing her around. It's fun to watch.

You guys know you want these little sweeties. Her daddy is the greatest roo - doesn't even crow outside

lol

This is Krista, just hatched tonight. And yep, I break all the rules of hatching - help them, remove them early - but I haven't lost one. My LG is a pain in the you know what - temps and humidity all over the place (I hate it!) and I'm having to help every single baby out that pips. I'd rather break the rules than lose these babies. The hatching God can deal with me later

Hi Zoo Mummzy! What a cutie! Congrats!

I break all the rules too! I think helping them if they really need it overrides keeping the bator closed etc. Have fun with that one!
