I bought these darned ducks in October, and haven't seen a THING until today!! Been watching though, because I've seen the girls spending quality time in the nest box!!! AND one of them hatched her own babies last year, so I'm gonna let her keep the eggs and see what she does with them!

Thanks for the advice on the incubators! I know they are expensive, but I justify it by saying a few hatches would pay for it and I could keep the chicks I really wanted!!! I just have to figure out which one I think is best. Sigh...I am really torn! I think I just need to look at some of them in action...but that is hard to do obviously...TallyHo...thanks for offer to come and see it, I will probably take you up on that, if you could PM me ways to get a hold of you I would appreciate it!

You could also try mine out if you want to ever. I won't be using it till later this summer and Portland isn't that far to pick it up when you are done. My daughter is possibly going to college there next fall so I might be up there a lot in the coming months. Just let me know!

That is so sweet of you!!! If you wont be using it I will take you up on it, simply because I really want to get a nice incubator, but have never had a digital, maybe if I try yours and can see TallyHo's Roll-X in action then I will be able to make the decision easier, now I just need to find someone who has a sportsman and ask them about it, and maybe go look at that one too! I really want one that can handle a larger amount of eggs then my current 42!!!

I didn't have a Sportsman, but I had a Dickie, and that's basically the same thing. I loved it, but I was OUT of control hatching with it!! Now I have 3 Hovabators (2 for incubating and 1 for hatching).

No worries! Nope, I won't be needing it till late July I'm thinking? If I'm going to hatch at all, it will be then for the Fall Swap so it's yours to use till then! I'm sure I could get it to you before the swap too if you wanted it. Tallyho has some birds she would like me to get before the swap I think and Cloverleaf wants one (or more) of my Seramas....I can also deliver others if anyone wants something before the swap (hint, hint LOL)

Just let me know!

I want to go nuts with eggs and chicks lol, I figure that way I can pick my favorites and hopefully recoup the costs of the rest of them by selling them!

I have 2 bators now, a Hovabator and Little Giant, I incubate in the Hovabator and hatch in the LG. But I want to be able to do more. Plus I have a friend that needs help hatching right now and would like a more accurate incubator. Now I will have to look up Dickies also...LOL!!! Good luck with your lock down today!

I sold the Dickie when the sound of chicks peeping inside my house became the equivalent of finger nails on a chalkboard! I really didn't think that could happen, but oh yes, it can....
