Ok you have the nametags, and that's a good idea to pretag the reserved birds but what else should we bring? I gotta make a list so I don't forget anything:

table
chairs
birds
pot luck goodie
our own eating and drinking utensils?
Something to drink?
Extra boxes for all the extra birds we won't be able to resist!

Just saw this comment!

I'm going to have to figure out if I can borrow a bigger vehicle for the trip... My two door coupe is not enough space for the number of extra roosters I might be coming back with!

I have 9.3 cubic feet of trunk space and my interior has 2+2 seating... meaning 4 people if they are 5 foot and under.

Hi all, I have been procrastinating about what to bring to the swap so here is my list:

Various pullet from 4.5 months and younger and unsexed chicks ofthe following breeds, BLW, GLW, BOs, Australorps, Turkens, Speckled Sussex, Delaware, Lite Brahmas, Black sexlinks and some Dark Cornish of decent quality.

Also bringing Red Bourban Turkey Poults.

Wants: Buckeyes of good quality. Also would like some hatching eggs of good quality BLRW.

So i figure if i am going down might as well bring some babies that need to move on.
i have a few chick babies most are kinda guessing babies
i also have 2 white broad breast
all babies will be like 2 days short of three weeks on the day of swap.
from guessing on here
1 buttercup
3 old english game standards
2 i think are white leghorns
a few who knows yellow babies
and a couple americanas

Just candled eggs as day 18 is tomorrow. I'm not sure I'll have any good ones. Pulled the for sure duds. I doubt it was the first power outage, but the second (unwarned) one where they changed our meter a few days later,

I hope for at least a few and if they don't hatch I'll have to drown my sorrows in chickens at the swap. Crossing my fingers (being bummed would make me a dangerous over-chicken shopper).
