I had no idea!!!!!! They flew in. From New Orleans a week after my 30th birthday so it would actually be a surprise!!!! And well I must say... Im surprised!

It's gonna be a great weekend!

OOOOHHHH, those little budgies bring back great memories. I look at my 2- 20 year old quaker's grandma raised (she did budgies, cockatiels, and a few quakers by hand) and remember NO MORE BIRDS, only chickens!!!! But they are precious and certainly will grow up to be cute (and quieter than mine, sheesh). I think they are adorable in a naked floppy sort of way

Hey everyone! I'm up at the Stevenson show this weekend - come on over if you want to talk chickens w/ someone also going to the swap and from BYC - we'll already have so much in common!!! I'm exhibitor #50, I have two Dominique pullets (large fowl - American class). Right now I'm obviously in sleeping quarters on the computer, but will head back into the barn and be in there most of the day. I'm in a grey sweater with blue jeans, short brown hair back w/ a headband. Just look for the crazy Dominique lady stressing out about my poor pullets!!

Come see my beautiful Dominiques. We will be bringing lots of these little guys to the swap, and one of the pullets I have is in one of the breeding pens the hatching eggs are coming out of.

One of my pullets at the show just laid her first egg on Thursday. If she lays again today, it will be her third! Poor thing is traumatized, it's a tough age!
