Oregon Spring Poultry Swap May 5, 2012 in Canby!!!

Hi, I'm not sure how this works but was thinking of coming to this and was curious if anyone would be interested in what I have:

Heritage Rhode Island Red-mainly roo's, possibly some hens
Swedish Flower hen-Roo's and possibly hens
Silkie chicks-out of nice but not show quality fluffy parents who are interesting colors including porcelain, silver partridge, and calico
BBS Ameracauna-Hens and Roos
Wheaton/Blue Wheaton Ameracauna-Hens and Roos

All of the above will be juveniles except for the silkie chicks.

Oh, I may also have hatching eggs available from my Swedish and Cream Legbars if they are laying by then.

Hi!! I'm sure people would snatch those things up, especially the Legbar hatching eggs!! LOL Usually you won't get a lot of pre-orders for things (and if you do, they are likely to be more last minute) but bring things anyway, because there is a lot of impulse buying and walk throughs that don't have a chance to pre-order. :)

I would love to be able to buy leg bands in mixed colors and sizes.

I've got a trio of young pekins for sale, but am not putting them on the bring list because I hope to have them sold before May. Hatched last June, the drake was 9 pounds at 8 weeks, the ducks were 8 pounds. They just started laying. I'm getting 2 eggs a day. Personalities and temperaments are outstanding.

I have a doctors appointment in Salem on March 12th. I could deliver them to Salem on that day.

I will be selling leg bands! I will have size 7 and 9 in the numbered bands and size 5, 6, 7, and 9 in the spiral bands. They will be assorted colors.

I will also be selling pet carrier boxes for taking chickens home in. For now just the smaller boxes for one or two chickens, but I will possibly be selling the larger size as well if I can find them.

We are totally newbies here on Backyard Chicken, but so excited to have found this place! What I'm really pumped about is to have found that Oregon has a poultry swap! Woohoo! A few questions...

1) Are we allowed to just come and browse or must we sell something as well?

2) My kids and I are looking for some Silkies...just for pets, not show quality. Will there be any there?

You do not have to sell a thing, we'd love to have you just come and hang out and check things out!! I think there were a few people that were going to bring Silkies, the latest have / want list is on page 39. If you see something you want that someone is bringing, you can PM them and pre-arrange something, or you can just come browse and see if there are birds you want. :)

Wonderful! Thank you so much for answering my questions. We are really looking forward to this, it's marked bright and bold on the calendar!!

Ok... I have been tossing around the idea of Muscovy. The thing is I want them as young as possible so they are as tame as possible...but I am afraid to put muscovy drakes with my little bantam girls..I just want one or two girls. So what are the youngest girls that I could get from you?

I will be bringing Muscovy :)
