Oregon Spring Poultry Swap May 5, 2012 in Canby!!!

Thanks for the links. I've read them and wouldn't "bet the farm" on what they exactly mean... legalese is always so tricky... that's why I wanted to hear what "experts" say that they mean...

Please edit my post (again I know...)
Sold some stuff recently thanks to posting it here! LOL

2hot2chicken -

---Have---
BQ/SQ eggs and/or chicks from combo of the following, 1 Blue hen, 2 white hens, 1 splash pullet, with 1 splash roo and 1 white roo.

---Wants---
Myself
Araucana LF(prefered) or BF, eggs, chicks, pullets or hens ( lots of color please! no more black or white hens,
don't care if they are tufted or smooth (prefer smooth) but must be rumpless and pet quality is fine!)

Wheaten/blue wheaten LF Ameraucana eggs, chicks, pullets/hens (want nice quality but don't have to be SQ)

Daughter
1-2 nice SQ silkie pullets/hens either Buff or Partridge or Blue partridge.
Also fun colored project silkie eggs, chicks, pullet/hen like calico, porcelain, salmon or.....almost any really.

Would be willing to drive a pretty good distance if you have something worth it before the swap for sale so just send me a PM and we can work it out

I will have polish available. Not sure what colors or how many yet, as May is still a ways off, but we have a ton of polish here. You can see pictures of my polish on my dancing hen farm facebook page. The link is in my signature below.

I wanted to share my new Chicken Harness Slide show with all of you. I finally got some good pictures and had some time to put them together.

Here's the Link: http://kaseyspoultry.webs.com/apps/photos/album?albumid=12939420 Simply click View as Slideshow to get the full informative show.

The harnesses are $15.00 each and are available now or at the swap. They also work for Ducks, Rabbits, and small dogs under 10lbs.

Also, I have been considering making Cheesecakes for the swap. If I do is there any interest in them? They are not as fancy, but are still delicious and home made.

I decided against the cheesecakes for swaps from now on due to the new laws....I also didn't have time this time around due to my vacation...but I was a bit worried. The law is too shady for me. However, I will still take private orders....just not for the swap.

That does look neat. I will be out of town that weekend. That said... I think they do post some of their talks on youtube.

Is anyone going to the Small Farms Conference in Corvallis on Feb 25th?? There are two sessions about the new "small producers" rule that was passed last year by the Legislature, giving some of us small kitchen crafters and chicken sellers the ability to sell to the public. The conference site is: http://small-farms.oregonstate.edu/2012SFC - it's $45 (which is more than I can afford). This is the first place I've seen that says they have more info!!

If any one is going, can you share with us the info for "Birds, Bees and Pickles" (covering jam, honey, sales, etc, and poultry) and "Oregon's 1000 Bird Exemption" covering small-scale poultry producers?? Most of us at the chicken swap would be covered by these new rules (unless you are already a professional business), so it would be so cool to get the details!

Laura - this is close to you, and would give you the info on your cheesecakes... (wheedle, wheedle...)

My plan is to do only pre orders as private sales and use the swap as a delivery place. This way everything is already bought and paid for and I'm just delivering them to the swap and not selling to the general public.

This way it's not "for the swap" just being delivered there.

Who knows, though.
