Oregon Summer Swap "Brownsville Chickenstock" Aug. 4th 2012 in Brownsville, Oregon

As most of you already know, it's gonna be a hot one! Our area is situated between two buildings under some big trees, so we should have shade all day. I am not sure where spigots are, but I am sure water is available. Please make sure you and your animals are prepared for the heat. We will be having a raffle, all proceeds will go to the Pheasants Forever foundation. If you would like to donate something for the raffle in lieu of your $5 for a spot, that's great too :) Tickets will be $1 each or 6 for $5. Or you can buy your height in tickets for $20 , we will start at the ground and unroll to the top of your head, that's how many tickets you will get for $20! Food and drinks will be available on site, and a certain little girl I know is gonna sell nice cold bottled water at her table :)

Awesome! I live in Brownsville and realized I'd forgotten to reserve a space.

So Here's what I'll have: I'm now Royal Feather Estates btw.

Bringing:

I want to mention that I always give 4-H/FFA and Youth discounts on birds and hatching eggs. 7 year 4-H'er and love to see the little ones get into the hobby and support them when they find a bird they really, really want, but can't afford otherwise.

Dominique Hatching Eggs: $2.00ea. Will have probabably at least 10 and can maybe swing a dozen

SQ Dominique Pair: $50.00 for the pair. These guys are 12 weeks old and are out of lines from Urch/Turnland Poultry. The parents will be coming to the swap and will be available for you to see.

Dominique Chicks: $7.00ea. These guys are 5 days old and are looking to be all cockerals. They are from the same parents as above. If you are looking for a couple of show prospects, why not go with cockerals that will mature into beautiful, SQ cocks for you to show off and that just look so beautiful in the garden. (Sure sold those!)

Serama Cockeral: Free to a good, pet home. He is harness trained and goes for walks and loves attention.

Possibly some assorted chicks of varying agesa nd breeds. Come by and see what I got.

Fresh Organic Homegrown Chicken Treats/Forage: Doc, Clover, Dog Fenel. All grown organically without pestiside/herbisides. Will have lots to sell, so come on by.

Chicken Walking Harnesses: Bantam: $7.00, LF $15.00. They now have a removable diaper to attack tot hem!

Chicken Diapers: $3.00ea.

Hen Aprons: $5.00ea.

Chick/Bantam carries: $5.00ea.

Wanted:

Any free water/food dishes.

Call Ducks

Seramas: A or B class

Great, I have added your list on our FB page to the have/want list, see you Saturday!

Due to the heat, we are going to have the raffle early, so get your tickets and support Pheasants Forever! Tickets will be sold 9am-12, winners drawn at noon, this will allow everyone to participate, as I know many of you plan on leaving early to beat the heat. Kathy Steele is bringing lots of ice and has a 30 gallon water tank on her trailer with a sprayer to cool of your animals or your self. We are under shaded trees in the grass, so that should help, weather is calling for 97 degrees, but should stay under 90 till after 2, so I think if we just cut it a bit short we will be ok.

See you all tomorrow!

Wanted to let everyone know that I've decided to set up some Chicken Bingo for the Swap.

Chicken Bingo is a simple game that i've done in the past and is really quite simple.

There is a board with numbered squares on it. There is a chicken that runs across the board, possible two. The square that the chicken poops on is the winning square. The winner gets a prize.

$1.00/number or 6 numbers for $5.00. Half the proceeds will be donated to the Pheasants Forever along with the raffle proceeds. (If you don't mind me donating)
