Hi there!! There's lots of us around that hatch year round, you should have no problem finding more birds later in the year.

Are you looking for cockerels for processing, or more pullets for egg laying?? I'd love to have an outlet for LF Faverolles roosters, because I've been hatching WAY too many boys!!

Yay! An Oregonian thread! I'm a native Oregonian, currently living in the Willamette Valley. Most of my friends and family raise their eyebrows at me whenever I talk about chickens so I'm forever clapping my hand over my mouth to keep myself from sharing things like my current worry for Honey, one of my beautiful Buff Orpington pullets who's not feeling well, or rhapsodizing about the beautiful brooder my husband just built for me.

I seriously need to find local peeps who get me when it comes to the chicken thing.

Also, I would love to find some Silver-Laced Wyandotte pullets locally but I haven't had any luck. If you know someone or are someone who has them for sale, PM me, please!

I'd also love to find local Welsummer and Marans pullets...

*talks to self* You really don't need anymore chickens, Katy. *answers self* Yes, I know. It's not that I need them, it's just that I want them, so shuddup.

Me too! What is it about chickens? Everyone thinks I have lost my mind when I talk about my chickens...or my new chicks arriving soon...or my new incubator...etc. At work they were taking bets on whether or not I could keep from saying the word "chicken" for one whole week. I lasted two full hours!

I'm planning to come to Redmond. My teenage daughter signed up to man the crafts table for kidlets and my hubby will be coming too. Can't wait to meet the people behind the avatars and voices here. I actually made it to the Canby Swap too, but I didn't know a soul as I only just found the forum the night prior to the meet! It was good fortune, that; I came home with eight pullets that I'm very happy with.
