Hey Oregon Peeps ...

We live near Sheridan (near McMinnville), but I work in Salem and my hubby works in Aloha (going through McMinnville, Dundee, Newberg, Chehalis Mtn., Sherwood, etc.). Where do locals near us (or near our workplaces) buy supplies/feed? We have a Wilco in McMinnville, but they have limited selection/pricing. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking of resorting to ordering some things online, but I'd really rather buy local, and check equipment out in person to see it'll work for our setup.

Thanks in advance ... the chicks are two weeks away (McMurray) ... 15 RIR and 15 Cornish X, and 1 'rare' freebie. The coop is built and wired/watered, and we're down to the fine details.

I have an online photo album of the coop construction that I will post soon ... seems like all of our time is going into fine-tuning the housing for the arriving flock, though.

Thank for the welcome, and the information. I looked online for Coastal Farm & Ranch locations, and see a new store has opened in Cornelius (my husband could swing by there after work on his way home). The next closest to us is Woodburn, which isn't very handy (or economical with gas prices so high). We'll probably plan a trip to Wilco this weekend to check out their feed selection (brands, ingredients, prices). They don't have the feed on the floor, so I didn't get much more than the prices from the cashier when I was in last.

Thanks again,

Janine
