I am looking for a young Maran or Wellsummer hen to add to our flock of five hens all born around 4/1/12. Our Maran died last week, it was sudden and we don't know why or how. and now our wellsummer who is shy seems really apart from the flock so I am looking to find her a friend.

I live in Salem Oregon and am willing to drive to pick up. THANKS!

I've been bawling all morning. I've been waiting for these birds for 4 months...what was once a "keep the whites around" project just became a major conservation project....

I'm really feeling for you right now...I just recieved two boxes of shipped birds, and out of 11 birds, only one was alive when I opened the boxes....

That is terrible, sorry for you, I know you were looking forward to getting those birds.

Is anyone near Eugene that can pick up a two Sebbies and hold them for me until the holidays or sooner?



A friend of mine lost almost all of her flock to a dog and she's worried sick it will be back to get her remaining geese--now that's had "fun" killing and knows where to come. She's due to have a baby in a matter of weeks....and soon, they will be gone at the hospital and the geese will be home alone. They will need to be well-protected as they cannot fly.....


I am planning a trip to Oregon in November (Thanksgiving) or I might be able to get my sister to come and visit me before then.

I will pay you for their feed for the time that you have them. Or in hatching eggs...Muscovy drakes...Giant African Dewlap Pair. She'd like them gone this weekend of possible....


I have sent out emails, posted on several boards here and on FB...please let me know if it's possible.

The shipper has already started an inquiry on her end, trying to find out what might've happened...

I sold my original 2 easter eggers (one of them is my favorite hen Mavis) and 2 wyandottes since I have my silkies sitting on eggs for some jersey giants. The girls just looked at me as I put them in a crate to their new home. Kind of like what the heck Mom where is this guy taking us?? Then I took my 12 year old newfie for a walk, i have known for some time he is getting old and has the signs of a heart condition that effects newfies in their old age. he started coughing and panting a making a kind of whinny cry, Just kind of an emotional day.
