Veggies, flowers, herbs, perennials...love em all. I also love to cook.

I despise shopping for clothes & shoes...just not my cuppa tea...but throw me into a place like Wilco or Home Depot or a nursery and I'm in heaven!

LoL. Well my weekness is garage sales, so I can't wait for weekends or Estate sales;) Wilco is where we go for our feed also. I just purchased a flock block dont say that several times qwickly:) I have four 10x4 raised beds with vegetables in them and one 8x8 for herbs. I also have a green house with a lemon tree and orchid and avocado tree in it, I'd love more tropical plants but those are not in the budget right now. We have pear, plum, cherry, apple, and fig trees. We have enough grapes to sell to a winery!

Oh and all the blueberrys one could want:) Yum!

I'm in Monroe, located between Corvallis and Eugene. My 7 hens are starting to lay this week and I'm interested in finding a rooster to befriend them. Anyone know of one? My favorites have been Ameraucanas, Golden or Silver -Laced Wyandottes... Thanks a bunch!

Hey there, I have a couple of Buff Orp Roos that are looking for a new home?

I also have a couple Ameraucanas (most likely EE's) and a couple Black Australorp Roos as well.

I'm down in Cottage Grove. Let me know!

Vernonia Oregon -New to BYC but working in small town feed.n.seed (me seed) we sell many chickens in spring time. My hubby n I decided to start with a couple of our own this year...(we each had them as kids) We started with 5 down to 2 ish. The buff i wanted so badly was a rooster which was okay as M's old roo passed this year and I felt warm n fuzzy to rehome master buff with her 9 old gals. Then the cat got hubbys fave a rir- so sad, we nursed her for 4 days and it seemed she might pull through-but alas it was not meant to be. He still wont feed the cats...So 3 little gold laced wyandottes sitting on the roost growing prettier everyday, and just over the last few days we noticed 'june' (who seemed to be slower at feathering in) looked a little redder, I said to my H that I thought it was just the way the sun came in the coop and he told me I was in denial. I'll be in denial until my neighbors complain. He sure is pretty and now named Johnny...I am hoping to let each hen hatch a few out before Johnny must go. No roo's allowed within the city (but the neighbors dog can bark all hours of the night. What about pet discrimination? Should I start leashing my chickens up at the store front when I go? It might pave the way? I know a girl who walks her bunnies on leashes around town. Do they make chicken leashes? ok I digress on my first post, Is this a bad sign?)) Glad to leearn there are so many here gardening w/ chickens.

Hello, Oregon!
I'm new to the site -- anyone out there in Eugene-ish?
We're over near Mt. Pisgah, and would love to trade stories!
Oh, I can tell I'll be visiting here a lot!
