That's a beautiful area - my dad lives in Medford. Just make sure when you're designing & building your coop that you put fans in!!

Hi!

Hope all the chickies survived that cold snap a few weeks ago; the heat lamps were burning here (near Sheridan). All is well.

I have three roosters that need a new home, if anyone is interested. I thought I'd check in locally. I have a post in the Sale/Auction area
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=284059 but I couldn't find an area to just post free chickens. I also have a Craiglist ad for Salem and Yamhill County.

One is a real cute Silver Spangled Hamburg - he was a rare chick from a Murray McMurray hatchery shipment; born 07/2009. The other two were inadvertently included in a botched order for a brown layer assortment. I can't tell you what breeds they are. I have more pics that I can share in an online album, if you are interested.

I now have 31 laying hens -- where does this addiction end? They, however, will be glad to be rid of the extra boys.

Happy New Year to all,

Janine

Hi everyone!

My husband and I are considering moving to Yoncalla, Oregon and I have been looking for the poultry/livestock laws for that area. I don't want any surprises if we do decide to move there. I refuse to make a decision on the move until I have ALL my questions answered. It is quite a long way to be moving only to be disappointed in the end. I want this to be a happy and joyful thing if in fact it does happen.

Could any of you kind and wonderful Oregon people direct me to the proper laws for this area? Roseburg is also an option but a little bigger of a town than we are hoping for. All my searches have resulted in definitions of the words used in the laws, not the actual laws/codes.

I
just started Willamette Valley Hatchery and currently I only have Barred Rocks in stock with Rhode Island Reds and Welsummers back ordered. I will have Black Sexlinks and Easter Eggers available soon with Red Sexlinks and Marans varieties coming into production in a couple of months. I hope to get my new website done next week. All the governmental paperwork to start this up is bogging me down right now.

Hi there,
I was wondering in anyone out there would be intrested in splitting an order of chicks from JM Hatchery? I would like 25 colored rangers, but I am sure they can shipp ducks and whatever else in the same order. Cost goes down as you buy more, so I thought I would put out the offer to join in if you are at all intrested. BTW- I am in Battle Ground, WA.

Thanks
