Well, back from the swap and feeling a bit underwhelmed by the whole thing..... were not for getting to see mon and sister, would not have been worth the drive. Did pick up one new bird....pretty little crested cream legbar pullet about 3 1/2-4 weeks old, but that was it....

How adorable!! Love this.

Down in the Rogue Valley. Southwestern Oregon. Have met a couple of lovely ladies from right here in Southern Oregon, on the site which is great!

I have 11 Isbars due in Saturday. 3 under a broody hen and 8 in the incubator.

I have some BCMs coming this weekend.

I currently have a mixed flock of hens from the feed store, giving me nice eggs and sweet girls, chosen for high egg production brown layers. Have golden and red sex links, australorp, RIR. A golden sex link is my broody momma right now. My australorp also was broody recently.

I have three coops set up. One for the BCMs and one for the mixed flock and one for the Isbars. I plan to brood the Isbars and the BCMs together. Will see how many momma broody hen can handle. I won't count my chickens before they hatch though so don't know how many I will end up with.

I was gonna ask how it was. Didn't make it down because of last min vet appt for the furry child (dog).

The one you picked up is *mighty* cute! And it looks like she's already bonded with your DD. :love Sweet.

What was it that disappointed you?

Hello, fellow Oregonians! I'm in SE Portland - Can't wait to go through semi-recent posts to see if I have any neighbors!

Any metro-area duck owners out there? We have four Ancona eggs from a friend in the incubator and are anxiously awaiting our ducklings. Here's to hoping they hatch!

Heidy-Ho, neighbor! (Not exactly, up in St Helen's here)
Glad you've found your way over here. No ducks here now, but have kept them in the past...I'm purely chickens at this point.
