I have 7 hens and 2 young roosters, just got a incubator! any one happen to have furtal eggs I can play with

We have fertile eggs right now ... they would all be mutts, but inexpensive.

Welcome and be warned...purchase of an incubator is one of the reasons how chicken math gets started! Incubating can be addicting! LOL!!

Hi, have you checked for fertility in your own eggs? They may be fertile?

You can put some Neosporin and a warm wet cloth on it. Poor baby, do you have any roosters? A rooster or roosters could be the problem.

Might want to check the thread on mites. That is what it looks like to me. But the picture isn't really clear either.

I dont think mites cause feather loss, I had mites once.

I think it may have been a failed hawk attack. They will rip out a bunch of feathers to try and get the oil gland removed. At least that is what happened to my fatal hawk attack and my girl that survived a hawk attack.

I meant my birds XD But it doesnt look like enough feathers, usually they would pull off more right?

I dont think mites cause feather loss, I had mites once.

I've seen some birds strip themselves of their feathers from mites and other birds in the same flock be indifferent to them. I can understand the plucking, I sure felt crawly when I got home!
