Looks like roo damage and then the hen or other hens picking at pin feathers. They think those blood filled feathers taste good. Can up protein to help feather replacement. Mites can cause birds to pick, but common around here are feather lice. Feather lice will chew up feathers and are visable straw colored bugs that stick to feather shafts and move quickly.

I thought it was a rooster too.

I think it may have been a failed hawk attack. They will rip out a bunch of feathers to try and get the oil gland removed. At least that is what happened to my fatal hawk attack and my girl that survived a hawk attack.
Failed hawk attack is EXACTLY what I was thinking....

Failed hawk attack is EXACTLY what I was thinking....

I only said that because I had one in my flock on New Years Day and the next day I stopped a juvenile Golden Eagle that was attacking my neighbors chickens, looked the same in both
 
Everyone they where in the brooder in my basement **** tricky hawk XD i have one roo and i watches closely and shes the most playful but no one else wants to play and get mad since pic i have taken them to there permanent home and shes already looking lot better im pretty sure shes just being picked on thanks for everyones help and new run is hawk proof racoon proof skunk proof hell half the time i have trouble getting in there lol
