Oregon

Here are some pictures of my chicks today. All are Cochin Bantams except one, who I'm pretty sure is a Modern Game Bantam.

Going into lockdown tomorrow with-shipped Millie's . I couldn't hear a peep if I held it against my ear. Haven't candled any because I am not sure enough of myself. Going to give them 3 or 4 days past 21 before I try anything. Hope everyone else has great success .

Anyone here know of someone near portland, salem, vancouver, etc.... that has a unwanted broody hen that they would be willing to sell. i just cant seem to find one. :(

I think someone on the WA thread has one that is constantly broody. They were going to resort putting her in the stew pot since she would not stop, even after they tried to break her. Might want to ask over there.

You might wanna check into getting a Silkie or two. They go broody OFTEN. You must not be too far from me. I live up the road on the top of Gronlund Rd. Marge Best is a great Silkie breeder that lives on Forsythe Rd. She has birds of all ages, so you could possibly get a POL or one that is already laying. If you want her contact info, PM for it.

I know folks have probably answered this before, but I have a terrible time finding things through searches so I thought I would just go ahead and ask.

For those folks hatching chicks what, if any, immunizations do you give? When? and are they injectibles, if so where do you give them? LOL, and most important, where do you get them? Do they come in small lots or does someone have some to share?
