No, last time they didn't give you the exhibitor's number until you checked in. I know my bird/s will be in the youth section though.

Sending out feelers for peafowl in Southern OR, anyone out there? I've got a young lady looking for white ones for 4-H. She's willing to hatch eggs.

Would I have to go to local shows to start our flock? I really do not want to get hatchery chicks. We will be moving near Redmond in June. Everything is already set up, just need to find the birds.

If you do not want hatchery birds, than yes, it would be best to go to a show to get some. You could also contact a breeder of a breed you want and see if they have chicks available.
