I kind of have one of those. He is an AM B. When DW goes in the coop or run all is good. If I even walk close to the run he will come running right into the wire trying to get me. We have had a couple sessions and he will do OK for a while and then he thinks he is all tough. I can live with him but trust me (please forgive me Jeanine) but first time he does this to DW it is game over little man.
Oh heck yeah, he goes after Diane, he needs to lose his fool head. My Am B's do that though, they run along the fence as I go by, or a couple have jumped at the fence, but they are all show and no go. As soon as I open the door, they are all nonchalant, like "what?? I didn't do anything?!?" LOL
No when I walk in the run Sambo will come at my feet flogin and spurrin. I just grab him and let his girls see what a w5u09u he is! Then he gets to spend time in my arms keeping me company while I groom him and play with his feathers.
Hmm...I used to have one really naughty cock bird, and I was really worried about taking him to his first show, thinking he would go after the judge. I didn't even know how I was going to get him bathed. So, I brought him inside and gave him his bath. He loved it. Even started falling asleep in the warm water. LOL He was a perfect gentleman at the show, and stayed nice for several months after we came home. He would start getting naughty just before it was time for another bath and another show. LOL
I think the problem is that Sambo sees you as competition, where he sees Diane as one of his "hens"...don't know if there's any way to fix that...
