Oregon

I have 3 mix breed pullets that I'm selling. They are an ameraucana mix, an australorp mix, and a barred rock mix. They are 5 months old and so far they all appear to be pullets. $8 each or $20 for all three. They are tame and friendly birds. They have been hand raised and are used to being around people. They will make great pets. They are lovely birds, I just need to cut down on the size of my flock. I will only sell them to you if you intend to keep them as pets. No stewing pot for these girls!

Thanks,
Jade

OMG I love your girls! And I would absolutely take them off your hands if we had room. Actually, we would have room if I can find homes for two roos...

We're looking to rehome two roosters from a brood we hatched out on September 11, 2011. Of the five chicks, we netted two pullets and three cockerels. We're keeping one of the boys (and have named him Werner Herzog in honor of this little bit of opining), but need to find homes for the other two. Both are broody momma/hand raised. They are White Leghorn/barnyard mutts, but do carry a blue egg gene from their father. One is rather feisty - he was our runt but is no longer the smallest of the three. The other is super mellow. They are living in a large coop/run situation as we have dogs that have a taste for chicken.

I'm not charging anything, because I really want them to find happy homes. If you're looking for free dinner, please don't bother. It could be we end up doing that ourselves, but I'd love to see if anyone out there needs a rooster for their flock.

Here's a pic of them from a couple weeks ago. Since this pic was taken, we've built them out bachelor's quarters as three boys getting randy at the same time was a little hard on the young pullets. Also, our Alpha Rooster, Cockburn, was having none of it. The ones we are rehoming are the two white fellas between the two pullets. The roo on the far left is the one we're keeping.

Yeah for chickies!!!! I have 13 "due" this coming Monday (3 blrw, 4 lav orp, 4 lav amer, 2 blue marans) Hoping for lotsa color and at least a few pullets (sigh). Lost one of the blrw, very porous and had a tiny chip, sad I couldn't get more of those eggs. Wanna bet if all 3 hatch they are roos, lol. What is the other half of your silkie? I'm so tempted to hatch d'anver/silkies but then what to do with roos.
CONGRATS!!

Half of all the chickies are either Mille Fleur D'Uccle (purebred) or his son, mixed with an EE. This is the first hatch where I don't know the daddy for sure, as I hatched the EE as well. But seeing as Gash, the teenager, has been doing his thing like crazy, id bet he's th daddy of at least half of them!

The Silkie x D'Uccles I've hatched are super cute and very pretty colors.
