Good luck!! I got a fake owl for my yard. I put it on top of one of the bantam coops, so it wouldn't scare the chickens, but the hawks could see it easily. I got the one that is motion activated, it turns it's head and hoots...totally unnecessary. Just get a cheap one. The batteries have been dead for a year...lol Haven't lost a bird to a hawk since I got it though...knock on wood!!

I would try it. It has worked here...sorry to hear you had an attack, but glad there were no losses!!!
Well.... I actually went to 2 Coastals..... but it was the one in Oregon City that had the Guineas. Expensive little buggers.... for a chick that is....
Sso, I gave the barred rock chick to my friend who is starting out with chicks. She also got an Austrolorpe, and 2 of the EEs that I just hatched.... then I picked up a Barnvelder, a Silver Grey Dorking and a Cuckoo Maran. My flock is like the United Nations of chickens!
I will call oc coastal in the morning, might have to make a run in thereI just want a few, have had before so I know how loud and obnoxious they can be, especially when strangers invade their area. But just a few....no harm in that right?!![]()
