Chick day is the day that Old Mill Feed and Garden in Dallas gets their baby chick delivery. It's a once a year thing. They have free classes too.

Even though the city allows people to keep pigs up to 100 pounds in their yards here the battle to keep chickens in Salem City limits has been long and hard: http://www.salemchickens.com/ and we can still only keep hens.
