I've never heard of Fort Rock Oregon...where is it?

I believe it is Oct. 20th. Check on pacificnorthwestpoultry.org/ to be sure. The more the merrier! Oops, I guess it is on the 2nd weekend of Oct. I just saw Cloverleaf's post after I made mine. Guess I need to look at the site above.... :)

Cloverleaf - How are the Japanese chicks doing? Your son will have to keep us updated & my son would love to work with him if he chooses to start a breeding program.

They're doing great! :) All snuggled in with all the Faverolles and Ameraucanas in the brooder!

We'll definitely keep you posted, he was SO excited to get them! :) It's kind of fun having him do what he wants to do with the chickens, instead of just being a part of what I'm doing.

I have several Swedish flower roos available- would make interesting looking Easter eggers when bred to ameraucanas. Also silkie roos and heritage RIR roos.

Welcome!

It is by Christmas Valley and Silver Lake. 90 miles southeast of Bend, 100 miles west of Burns, and 100 miles north of Lakeview. Pretty much the middle of nowhere, but I love it. I grew up here and came back after getting my teaching degree.

I have been out that way you are right its in the middle of nowhere.....

Ever been to crack in the ground? I have friends that live near the sinks near Christmas Valley.
