CAT has good intentions, but I see a TON of cats come out of there very very sick, and they adopt them out this way. I do NOT recommend adopting from them.

I used to live by a lady that volunteered there. She usually ended up taking in the kittens with feline leukemia and fostering them. I think a lot of the problem with them is that they mostly do foster or have cats in Petco stores where everyone comes in and pets them. They will let pretty much anyone foster and thats how the diseases keep getting spread. They do not have the foster parent bring them in for a vet check before adoption so who knows what they have. Also I adopted 1 from there who had only been there for 2 days so they really didn't even have a chance to get a good workup on her. I got lucky and she was fine but I know a lot of signs to look for and did my own check before agreeing to take her...... They are trying to do good but really are not doing so well. They need to provide more training to their volunteers also.

If anyone is interested, I have a trio of Silkies available. I just put them on CL. Two splash SQ hens that I bought from Marge Best, and a black male, don't know where he originated from, I got him from a friend who got him from someone else. You'll hatch 100% blue chicks from this combo! $75.

I have decided to sell off my bantam Ameraucanas. If anyone is interested in getting a start with these guys, these are really great birds!! (I'm only getting rid of them because I need the coop space, as I am getting the last variety of bantam Faverolles that I don't already have).

I have:

1 black cock
1 black cockerel
1 blue cockerel
1 blue hen
1 blue pullet
5 black pullets (2 are almost a year old, 3 are nearing POL)
6 unsexed, but almost fully feathered chicks

I will not be selling the girls individually. Pairs / trios / larger groups only. $20 / pair, $40 / trio, $150 for everything.

Do you have pics?

I'm in Raleigh Hills (unincorporated Washington Count). I'm new to having backyard chickens & absolutely love it!
I am looking for another silkie to add to out flock, a sizzle, blue laced red Wyandotte (w/ nice blue) & more unique Americauna (maybe bantam).

We have:

Partridge silkie
Buff orpington
Blue copper maran
Barred Plymouth rock

If you want bantam Ameraucanas You need to contact Cloverleaf Farm. She has very nice birds and is looking to sell.

I don't have pics of everyone, but here's what I've got:

The black cock was Reserve Champion AOCCL at the Stevenson show last October:

I'll try to get pics of the rest, but this is what I have for now....

I also have 3 Japanese bantam cockerels. They aren't supposed to be splash, genetically, but they are. One is the lighter, typical "splash" coloring, the other two have a darker base, and look lavender (what they are supposed to be, btw) but with the "splash" splotches...would be AWESOME for 4-H. If a 4-Her is interested, they are free, otherwise, $5 each. They are about 8 weeks old....
