Oregon

I have Wheaten/Blue Wheaten Ameraucana's from Pips&Peeps, Tailfeatherz and Wayne Meredith. Unfortunately, I have my EE's in with them right now and some of them are laying blue eggs, so I'm not selling eggs until I can get them separated.

Yes, I have to open the sale area Friday at 3pm. For sale birds, the best time to shop is going to be later on Friday, and first thing Saturday morning. Not everyone is showing up on Friday, but everything has to be cooped in by 8am Saturday, so everything should be in place in the sale area by early Saturday as well.

I haven't been to a show yet, are there sale birds that are not all show quality?

Yes, there are all ages of sale birds, so you don't know how they'll turn out. Some people sell culls there too. You have to know the breed you're buying to be able to see the potential in the cage. If you want SQ birds, you have to wait until after the judging on Saturday to see if anyone puts a for sale sign on their coop cards. You can also get an exhibitor list from the show secretary, so you can get contact info for the exhibitors, so if you see birds you like in show cages, you know who they belong to. :)
