Oregon

Hey Cloverleaf Farms, when you're right, you're right. Nelson just saw a wildcat prowling the lower end of the fence for the chicken run. He says it looked more like the bobcat photos we found on the Internet, but he said it was almost as big as our dog (Lab). He fond tracks for it as well as deer tracks down there. What to do? What to do?!?

I asked Dad about bears, which logic says must be in the area. He says he's never seen one around here, never seen tracks either -- and he's been here a long while. He figures they must be in the area even though they stay hidden. There sure are plenty of places for them to hide.

Coyotes have just slipped down my "worry" list ...

Bears on the west side are pretty rare, but they do wander if pushed out of a territory. And bobcats can get pretty big, especially the males, about 40lbs i think. Check with your Fish and Wildlife division in Washington County about trapping/killing the bobcat.

looking to trade my shanshan51 BLRW cockerel for another one. My boy is 4 1/2 months old and he's pretty calm, eats from my hand' comes right up to me in the groe oit pen. He's a "sampler", he doesn't reallu peck but he will but my whole fingertip in his beak. Would like a different line for possible breeding.

Does anyone know of a breeder in Oregon that is raising Dutch Bantam chickens? I'm looking for a like size buddy for my rooster that is in my Avatar.

Poor little guy has a full size hen he follows around all day and I think he believes they are an item. Only time I've seen him attempt to bred her is was comical as he kept falling off and looked more like a rodeo bull rider then a rooster....

Anyways I'm looking for a hen or hatching eggs or straight run chicks.. Anything to give him a few like sized buddies
