The chick in the lower right is a solid lavender.

Hey Jody, here are a few pictures of my F2 juvi brownies (bantams). The pictures aren't the greatest but they are all chocolate based, not black. Some of the girls are getting really red.

I plan to cross them with my black orp rooster when they are ready.

Renee, the ones that hatch that cream colored are pure for mottling. They will breed true as well. The lavender tends to make it harder to see in maturity because the color is so light. I do believe after their first moult, the mottling becomes more evident.

HenThymes, very nice looking chicks. I love hearing the updates on your project as well. Thanks for keeping us posted. Those buff silkies in there are gorgeous too!
