Organic Weed killer

I was given this recipe for an Organic weed killer. My husband has a nursery so we need to keep weeds down, but my chickens run the area every day so I don't want a lot of poisons around. I tried this on the weeds along the walkway and honestly, they were all brown and crispy the next morning.
1/2 gallon of apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup salt
1/2 tsp Dawn dish soap.
Just put it in a spray bottle and spritz away at the individiual weeds. Amazing!

The question for my organic remedy is, do I want anything to grow there at all? If the answer is no, I use salt..Generally good for a year or two depending on the weather.

What a wonderful idea! I hate those commercial weed killers, and besides, they are very harmful! Thank you for the information too!
