Shamo are big bone birds. Typically, it seems, least with my O Shamo, that their bone structure develops first, then the muscle.
Right now his wing are are heavier than his muscle are use to carrying. I relate this stag in Shamo development as being that awkward teenage stag

DEFECT??? No sir! I can see how one not familiar with Ko Shamo could think that or the split wing would be a defect too. But these birds are Ko Shamo bred to Japanese standards. As such, the Japanese Ko Shamo standard calls for specifically for this type of wing carriage or better, split wing, silver or gold eyes, etc. In Japan and Europe round shouldered Ko Shamo, in which the wings are held close to the body, are considered inferior.

But you are right when chickens get hot they do expand their wings and sometimes droop them. These guys here are fighting off the heat.
