He's long gone but I got him from a friend.
He was breeding all his fowl to be as big as possible
The down fall was that most of his flock was sooo big that they were
Losing fertility and what ever eggs they layed were usually crushed since hens were so large and clumsy.
He was even playing around with some blue bantam mixes he made, they were tiny.
About the size .of small A & Small B class Serama way before.seramas came around
He bred them to be tiny, that they also started turning sterile.
He was a hobbiest breeder challenging himself with some interesting project
Was funny several years ago probably 7-8 yrs now,
he sold me his dark green egg laying hens he bred for several years as a fun expirament / now called olive eggers
He was in Awww when I told him that his dark green egg laying project hens were given the name olive eggers.
I just told him this last yr. Hadnt seen him in a while.
Anyways He was calling them his Jade hens or Jade egg hens in 2000.
