Orloff with Attitude

I've seen female birds fight with their feet, not common but not unprecedented.
Your positive she's a she?
Thank you for this response. I've never heard of females doing this. But it's something she's done since she was a tiny little chick.
No sign of saddle feathers and barely any pink on her comb (it's so small and flat, doesn't even look like a comb.) I'm guessing she's slow to mature because almost all my birds her age are pretty red with the exception of a few that won't lay for a while.
Also, could just be the breed? The larger/redder the comb, the better they do with heat (so I've read) but her breed does great in colder temps. (I've been trying to research all my breeds since I'd gotten a variety.)
I will try to get more/updated pictures this afternoon. This was taken a little while ago.

Have seen a few chicks do it(one at 6wk old at a hen! - both the hen and I chuckled) and pullets around 8-12 weeks, when they are all rowdy and racing around 'sparring'. Have seen hens do it during integration skirmishes.

That's interesting. And adorable when the small ones think they're tough.
Is this behavior breed related or dependent on individual chickens?
I've never seen another bird do it.
