I came back after supper to find 9 chooks! A couple of them have slightly curled outer toes on both feet, but nothing that hinders their ability to walk. Do you think I should do anything to try to fix it when I move them to the brooder later?

Give them a day. If they don't straighten out on their own, then you can consider shoes.

I know! I am amazed at how many there are already, and how they are bouncing around the incubator like popcorn. I can no longer tell which eggs have pipped and are going to hatch because the little chicks keep moving the eggs around and blocking my view. So cute though!

I would give it 24 hours, put them on shelf liner in the brooder, that will often straighten mildly curled toes without you having to help.

So I should leave them in the brooder overnight and then move them tomorrow?

What are they in now? When I move mine from the incubator, I have the brooder set up with paper towels under shelf liner. I leave them on that for the first day to get all the toes and legs nice and strong. After that I remove the shelf liner and paper towels and I put them on pine chips. If you have earlier chicks in your brooder and don’t want to disturb them too much, you can just put the shelf liner over whatever bedding you’re using, and take it off after a day. I put my shelf liner in the wash, so I don’t like it to have chips glued to it with hardened poo, so I put it over paper towels.

Pull them out of the incubator and put them in the brooder. Put grippy stuff in the brooder.

Sorry -- I meant incubator. I am going to move them to the brooder with shelf liner over paper towels, but am not exactly sure when to move them.
