Orphaned baby

The mama hen to my 5 week old chick was killed today. I don't know what killed it. The baby was hid in the woods under a pile of leaves. I got it and brought it inside and made it a temporary brooder. Now the poor baby is all alone. I feel terrible. I know it's too small to put back in with my other hen and roo. I hate for it to be lonely. Can other chicks be added in to give it some company? This is a new one for me. This mama hen worked so hard to hatch this one baby and now it's all by itself. Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated.

Baby turned 5 weeks today. So sad it lost its mother.

You can add chicks together, just make sure you get chicks that are around her age and size. There will be a little bit of a fuss at first, but just watch them to make sure they don't hurt each other. If you see any peaking going on, that brings blood, then you will need to separate them. They should be fine together, though!
