I have two 7 week old birds I was told are buff orphingtons, though I wonder if one is a barred rock?
I am not able to have roosters where I live and have a friend who may take the roos from me but I need to know if they are pullets or not. I would hate to give away the girls! They are most beloved pets at this point. The one with yellow legs (who I suspect may be a buff rock) crowed this morning. There are 2 pictures of that one. She/he is not as calm as the others though is seems more submissive. It also has much thicker legs than the other and makes different louder sounds.
The other with pink legs has been fighting and chest bumping a bit.
any thoughts?

Those are both cockerels.

First may be a buff Rock or a mixed breed. Second is likely a buff Orpington.

all boys, sorry. But only the last one might be a buff orpington. The others may be buff plymouth rocks, since orps never have yellow legs.
