New to this and trying to understand some genetics. What would happen if I bred a Blue Orpington with a Black Australorp? Would the chicks end up 50%black and 50% blue?

I haven't done this cross yet, we had to get rid of the blue roo. I did do a black ameraucauna/ blue orpington cross and all the chicks ended up black with muffs, but I just think that was luck. Theoretically it should be 50/50.
