Sandy this is my only Lavender who is a young cockeral.The other 3 I hatched are black, one cockeral and 2 pullets.

Daffy


Daffy


This is Daffy, my 5 1/2 month-old Buff ORP pullet.

After several predator attacks, she was the lone survivor of 6 in her flock (my first flock ever). To make sure she was safe while we worked on getting her some friends and a better place to live, she slept in our bathroom at night and free-ranged during the day. As our only chicken for several weeks, Daffy became my friend, telling me good morning every day, following me around the yard, and giving me the joy of beautiful pink-brown pullet eggs for the first time. I experienced some very meaningful things in my life, right along with Daffy. I really loved her.

Sadly, Daffy was also taken by predators not long after these pictures were taken. Something took her in broad daylight while i was washing dishes.

Daffy was my one, sure, and very beautiful chick.

This is OPRAH. She's my Buff Orpington and probably my sweetest bird and VERY chill. She is 5 months old and started laying eggs last month. Love her.

This is a picture of Oprah (on the right) at 3 weeks old.

Gratuitous daughter shot. Ok, so she's not an Orpington, she's my 1 year old on Halloween this year, but she's CUTE, isn't she?!

I SWEAR that this picture was in no way staged.
