In the last 2 to 3 years in UK not many people keeping large fowl i think due to the space very limited here

Bob and myself till going strongly on the L/F

The Bantams rule. Alot of new to poultry people like Bantams cause of the lack of space needed to raise them. Bantam Orpingtons may not be as popular. But I always seem to see a few Bantam Orp for sale in the selling coop area at each show. Smaller bird smaller feed bill too.

Those Cuckoos are a beautiful look. I am happy to have just those three cockerels. I am holding back some extra Blues, Blacks and Buffs pullets for them. My boys just became 6 months of age. Their still filling out. And I expect to put them to good use.

Minh, could I please ask about the tail feathers on your lovely boy in the pic above? I have 2 young lemon cuckoo boys whos tail feathers are growing in like this and I assumed something was wrong so I have started treating them for mites. Should I not be worried after all? Thanks.

Hello Highlander

Very welcome to the thread

look like they only less than 20 weeks old , these young lads don't care for their appearance just yet
not thing to worry about . Just let the mother of nature take care of them

When the spring come he should be worry if he does not sort it out himself
young ladies won't go near him . Surely he does not like that

Is he lemon cuckoo Orpington or Niederrheiner ? Cheers dear
