Orpington pullet egg issues

I have an orpington that just started laying. Her first was while on roost, second I watched but in the evening, she went to a nest. It was soft shell. Will this continue? I added oyster shell in food. I've never had this issue.

It's possible a new layer issue ... What are you feeding? It's been said to put the Oyster Shell in a separate dish and free feed.

I don't think you need to worry too much. It's pretty common for new layers to give you all sorts of weird eggs for a while until they get all the kinks worked out. Keep offering the oyster shell, and you should start getting normal eggs in a few weeks
