I'd have to say the Buff Orpingtons are our favorites too. We had one that would jump up on my shoulder every night to avoid bedtime. In our current flock they are the only ones who will let me pick them up without any fuss.

You are very welcome! I had to chuckle when I read your post because we have found the very same thing, that there is no substitute for the actual experience of raising chickens. We just love, love, love our Buff Orps too! They are the sweetest things ever, even our rooster is a button.
