Orpington Thread

Hello there! I have a flock of Mark Sacre English Blues, and they're awesome!

My blue Roo, "Sluggo" mated with a my black Australorp hen, so now I have an English Australorpington, too.

We'll I lost that 1 runty chick. And another one that developed a really nasty pasty butt. I cleaned it 2x a day, but it kept coming back worse. In a way I'm glad they went now because they aren't suffering. Also lost 2 Sumatra chicks due to what I'm guessing is shipping stress. The others all seem to be doing well.

Ok weekly update. Chicks are doing great! I couldn't get a good pic today because they wanted to race around too much. I'll try again tomorrow. Can't wait till I can sort out the Sumatra babies so I know who's who

I just adopted my first hens last week as well as getting a few chicks. I have a buff Orpington hen named Martha and a BO chick named Leah. I am looking forward to getting to know them better. :)
