Thanks this was a very late bloomer, I thought it was a pullet till he crowed this am

Sometimes the lack of tail feathers can be a good sign that a chicken might be a male. Just something to keep in mind.

No tail though! And they have splash Ameraucana/Araucana/Easter eggers too. I have one.

The comb is wrong for an Araucana or Ameraucana. Both of them have pea combs, and EEs usually have a pea comb.
And I don't think the Araucana breed has a splash, actually.

Splash isn't a recognized color in Ameraucanas. But as that Blacks and Blues are recognized there have to be Splashes out there.
