I'm new!
I have 11 hens. Had 12.........1 was a MEAN rooster,,ain't mean no more!

I 'm thinkin' i'd like to try a few Orpington's.
Does anyone know when there's a place (mail order perhaps) to buy them? .
i live in Eastern West Va.....

Are you interested in hatchery birds or are you wanting to find a breeder to source a specific color, lineage, etc of Orpingtons? Pretty much every one of the big hatcheries out there sells orpingtons (buff, and some sell other colors as well). They are also popular enough that most stores that carry chicks in the spring will have orpingtons in their selection so if you would rather you can source them from a retail store vs. having the shipped directly to you (this can be advantageous if you don't want to deal with minimum order sizes, etc) - and "chick days" are just around the corner.
