I have a small group of orpingtons and I'm struggling with bumble foot. Like all of them have it and the 2 young ones I put in a month or so ago are starting to develop it. I suspect it is from them landing off the roosts I put a lil ladder in and 're arranged the roosts, (they were both same as top one ). Going to change the ladder to more like a ramp?
Woundering How do others manage them to stop it occurring?
Added a photo of inside of coop. Nest box is bottom left corner under roost.

It's very odd that all your birds have or are getting bumblefoot. I've dealt with bumblefoot often over the years and at the most had 2 birds with bumblefoot at the same time which was due to pine cones in the yard. Are you sure it might not be something like foot pad dermatitis? Keeping litter clean and free from moisture at all times will stop foot pad dermatitis. A couple of pics of their feet would help.

The roosts in your coop are somewhat similar to a set up in one of my coops. To deter bumblefoot, use sandpaper to smooth down the all the roosts, including the ladder in order to eliminate burrs, splinters and sharp edges on all sides of the wood/boards. If the floor is wood, inspect it for splinters and burrs and eliminate them, an electric sander will take care of it. Also consider lowering roosts. This will prevent heavy breed birds from getting bumblefoot as well as sprained or strained ligaments or tendons which presents another more serious injury.
If you have perches or roosts in your pen, sand them down as well and consider lowering them.
