Ostrich and Emu Hatch cam

The ostrich egg we bought 5 weeks ago has devolped and is scheduled to hatch this weekend. Here is a link to the camera. I think two of these three emu eggs will also hatch.

a little update.

The Ostrich has started changing postition in the egg, Basically when I candle the air sac has moved from the front of the egg to the top. I hope that makes sence. He also responds to whistleing, tapping by wiggling like an emu. Only a couple more days.

I went to bed at 3 am and just got up at 7. he hatched while I slept.

One of the emus also pipped.

The emu is making good progress
